I had the Citi Premier and downgraded it after the 1st year AF was up, I was able to downgrade to a Custom Cash with no fee associated with it. This is usually the most desirable due to being limited to 1 new Custom Cash opening. Can get around this with PC.

The equivalent to Preferred would be the Rewards+.

I did not lose my TYP points when downgrading from Premier to CC.
