Hi all,

I'm due to do my first TP run with the first leg starting on Feb 2nd. The outbound leg is ARN-HEL-LHR-BOS-JFK-LAX.

The 2 flights for the ARN-HEL-LHR part of the leg are booked via BA but operated by Finnair, who I've just heard are striking then and flights will be affected between Feb 1st and 2nd. I'm unable to post URLs (haven't made 5 posts here), but Finnair's website has a banner at the top linking to their announcement.

Could anyone advise what my options are here to ensure I still receive the tier points for the run? Whilst I've heard if you miss connecting flights on the same booking you can claim the full number of TPs, I'm unsure if this applies to rescheduling this far in advance?

The post I linked suggests I can book alternate flights now, but I'm unsure if this is the best thing to do?

Apologies if this is obvious, I just want to ensure I don't hastily do something that affects the number of TPs earned.
