I believe the BA marketing-speak is "contoured". A marvellous word that means precisely nothing beyond indicating that the surface is not a plane. The economy seats in the 787 are "contoured", but just in a way that is extremely uncomfortable for a long journey. I wonder whether people in marketing take pride in their work.
