The 787-9, if I remember correctly, were initially line-fitted with a Panasonic product, but I recall that it was ultimately discontinued (though annoyingly I cannot find any source to back me up).
The B787-9s came from Boeing with no antenna, it's the large bump on the forward fuselage, so you can eyeball which airframe should have WiFi. The work to add the antenna was done at BAMC in Cardiff. I got my dates wrong, it did continue into COVID :
