Just completed a 2 night award stay here.
The hotel is in many ways quite small and intimate, but it works quite well with the small size. Arriving to check in, you are seated in the small lobby area and get a welcome drink from the bar. The ambience is quite distinct the Edition style. But a bit darker tones than the Edition Toranomon.
Check in was pretty quick, we got a one category upgrade (which had also been shown in the app in advance) and was proactively offered 4pm check out.
The room had a good size, and a quite typical Edition feel. Some may say rather austere, certainly there were no more furniture than absolutely needed. The rooms do face a narrow street, so you are close to the building across.
The first evening we tried The Punch Room after dinner. 3 punches (cocktails) came in around 7,000 yen, so not too bad for Tokyo. There was a small welcome punch as well. Not a big space, but definitely recommended.
First morning we went to test the breakfast at Sophie (only in house restaurant) it consists of a small by high quality buffet, coffees/teas and juice and a main course from the menu. They did come around with a daily special as well, a cheesecake one day, a focaccia with burrata and sundried tomato. It is priced at 6,300 yen. Which may be a little steep. But not mentioned at check in or otherwise we got an elite member discount and ended 7,000 yen for two, which is great value. The food was really good. So we decided to have breakfast on the second day as well.
For dinner the second evening wee tried Sophie. Which was excellent. The wine prices by the glass was on the high side. So we went for cocktails with dinner.
Staff was great all around, addressing guests by name basically every time. Leaving from breakfast, the greeting was "See you again tonight", as they had noticed there was a booking for the evening.
The gym is very small, it is basically just one room above the entrance used as gym space. You can get a decent workout, but don't expect a huge selection of equipment. No pool here.
It is a really good new luxury option in Tokyo. If you are going for a weekend staycation living in Tokyo, you might prefer Toranom Edition due to more facilities in house, but as a visitor the location in Ginza is really great.
A recommended place to stay
