SUP paddles all broken so that was a bummer as I enjoy SUP as a way to enjoy the beach. The eco boat tour was a highlight along with a few of the activities - like the cenote walk and crafts. They ran out of towels at both pools on one of the three afternoons which was annoying - staff didn't seem to care or act (oh the pool is closing soon so there are none). Sent the GM a WhatsApp message about some of the issues... no meaningful response. Restaurant prices truly absurd -- an appetizer of 3 spring rolls were $30+ at the casual dining restaurant. Had a lovely UberEATS meal delivered from a local mexican place (specializing in Pozole) on our third night because none of the other restaurants would even take us -- fully booked at all the resorts.
No response to my survey giving 4-5 points of specific feedback. Don't think we'll ever stay again given all the other options in the region including some great all inclusives. Had a much better experience at the Fairmont from memory, stayed there a few times before the Andaz opened.
I believe Pascal who was the prior GM is
now in Tahoe Hr. He ran a tight ship and always was around at happy hour chatting Glibalists up at the cigar bar. He always responded to emails. Sounds like the new GM has taken the place down a notch.
