Interesting. I have been to several (but not 14) and in recent years have always received the pre-arrival concierge e-mail. At one point, at least, it was a part of the "True Waldorf Service" brand standard.

Ah, I missed your mention of the caf
é in the original post. The two breakfast venues certainly aren't sufficient if everyone in the 500+ rooms at this hotel decides to eat on site.
