Yes, the biggest issue is the decayed 777 interiors, and secondarily the lack of wifi.
But I don't agree that the food is good---it is edible but boring, always 4 entrees following a 2x2 matrix: (veg/nonveg) x (Indian/western). This means there is one alternative for (almost) everyone, but no more. QR is much better on ULH flights, in both taste and presentation. Also, on my last AI flight from the US, the second meal was served some hours before landing, with nothing available closer to landing. You can't sleep straight through, you have to get up when they decide to serve the meal. QR has dine on demand and light meals in addition to main meals, so again, there's no comparison. (But I fly AI when it is cheaper...)
