Flew IAD-FRA-IAD this past long weekend.

All beddings and pillows are new but not presented in a case. They weren't in plastic wrap/bag either.
I don't care about the case, but would like the stuff in plastic wrap or bag, so they stay clean.. However, I do understand they are trying to eliminate plastic use.
As long as they are clean, I can live with it.
