I am not sure what you mean by this.
If there is a valid fare pricing in L class or lower, you can use the companion certificate to book it. There are no additional restrictions. It is quite common for a citypair to have a 0-day fare in L or lower and for there to be L space within 7 days. This is not usually the best price since you can get a cheaper fare in advance, but still valid for the certificate.
