Coming in at a little over £1250 for MAN-LHR-LAX-SJC, SJC-DFW-LHR-MAN with 5 or 6 days car hire. Could change from SJC if need be - still looking.
Doesn't seem too bad price wise (approx £995 ex-ARN for example, but for the extra £200, around 200 bonus TP and it would avoid a night in / flight to Sweden I suppose)

Car options are with Budget and Avis, and include small Kia Rios; Medium Toyota Corollas (or Kia Souls that look like something designed for a wheelchair or an elderly Japanese person; Rav4 or Ford Edge etc. Maybe £100 more for a Mustang, although looking at visiting a couple of National Parks rather than cruising down the PCH this time.

Normally drive a Kia Sportage, so I'm thinking the Edge or Rav4 would be similar size wise (Rav4 might be more fuel efficient?)
