I flew to CPT on the A350 recently - I was pleasantly surprised to have my starter cleared and main course served within an hour of take off. So A350 does not mean guaranteed slow service, it all depends on the crew. The front loo was also open for most of the flight, they could still do with one more toilet though.
That was also my experience to LAS (of all places) and back - indeed the service was so good that I managed dinner, decent sleep and breakfast with no complaints at all about the time each phase took.
