Alaska is emailing asking for volunteers to be bumped from SEA-PDX today. Do you think there's any chance I could get bumped onto the later SEA-OAK instead (which isn't full) without having my itinerary cancelled by BA for missing the PDX-SFO route? Or would this be entirely impossible because AS can't make changes to my BA ticket?

Edit: I just got an email from [email protected] and my SEA-PDX has been switched to a flight three hours later, ie it appears I've been bumped from BA2989 which was oversold and put onto AS955 (don't know if there's a BA flight number). Could I use this to leverage an itinerary change?
