Perhaps unrelated , but just got a message from BA about Cityflyer hand luggage changes !
They often did this at the gate anyway .. I guess this just is to encourage people to drop their checked bags at the desk in advance too
Clearly with a few extra seats in the cabin it's not going to get any easier!
I assumed this was to stop staff having to carry the bags down the stairs or across the road, or around the other side of the plane - dependent on where you are told to drop them off.
