Being charged daily for rental I cancelled and didn’t pick up

I am seeking help with a current situation as calling Hertz has been no help.

I booked a car for pickup that had no cancellation fee and was cancelled in advance. I never picked up the car and am still being charged.

My card is being charged daily for a reservation I canceled. The charges are all currently pending, but I have a feeling this is going to continue. I don’t want to report them as fraud to my credit card because I do not want to end up on the DNR list.

I have called Hertz countless times and they continue to tell me that since I don’t pick up the car I’m not being charged. Of course this is a call center and I cannot get anyone on the phone to help me. I called the location where the car was supposed to be picked up and it routes me to the 800 number.

I have seen a few cases of this happening, but never read if and how they were resolved. Does anyone have any guidance? A billing department number? What do I do?

If my card continues to be charged daily, I’ll have no choice but to file chargeback with my company. I cannot afford to have these charges just hanging on my account.
