Well, I would profoundly disagree. People who qualify for LTR have to fulfil strict requirements on income (incl. historical), current employment and history, education level and specific sectors of the economy, and thus guarantee a certain contribution to society. Both in terms of nominal tax contribution as well as helping to build talent in the country.

The typical socialist trail of thought of only looking at the percentage of tax is extremely flawed.
Hey now I was (mostly) joking—apologies for omitting the /s that I thought was obvious. My real position is that we should fully outlaw all dual pricing in this country and I say that as someone who has to endure holding a passport from this country as my one and only citizenship.

The only part I was not joking is that I find it fascinating something like this exists meanwhile successive governments have done absolutely nothing to incentivize local talent to stay here (beyond keeping our passports so useless that it is already hard to travel let alone emigrate.)
