Just left Vommuli after a 5 night honeymoon stay here. Booked with points, ~10-11mo ago, 456k for 4 nights (5th night free) in an OWV. Seaplane was $808/pp, requested to be paid prior to arrival. Am only a Gold member, but had requested an upgrade to a sunset OWV prior to arrival, but they didn't have any availability for that. However, on arrival, was notified that they upgraded us to an overwater StR Suite (#526) ,which was just to the right of the Astor Estate with awesome privacy! Eagerly took it, because I wasn't expecting anything tbh and figured we'd be stuck facing the island. Frankly, the space was way too large for only two people, but was elated and will take what I get. (On another note, this makes 2/2 StR's where I got Suite upgrades as a lowly gold, the other was in KL)

Mostly chilled and relaxed on the island, didn't do many activities aside from the complimentary Blue Hole session at the spa for honeymooners and some scuba diving. The house reef, at least near the part of the overwater units where I was, was surprisingly good, despite the reviews I had read in this thread previously. Perhaps things are slowly turning around? Swam out to the edge of the reef where the wall drops off, and was able to see some large stingrays, baby eagle rays, a few black-tip reef sharks, eels, sea cukes etc.

We opted in for the F&B credit, $300 for $350/night for a total of $1500 for $1750 and because we weren't Plat with the breakfast benefit, easily hit the spend.
Ate at Cargo, Whale Bar, Alba (breakfast/lunch/dinner), Craft and Orientale and a mix of in-room dining. Opted out of T-Pan given the pricing, and frankly, we brought some instant noodles to fill in here and there and save a few hundred bucks lol.
I liked Orientale and the Alba breakfast the best, P2 liked Alba dinner best. We both agreed Cargo was the most lackluster. My biggest regret was not getting the Brilliant, but was stuck in Amex jail, so decided against it. Looking back now, would easily still have been worth it, at least for the first year.

Service was absolutely incredible, the personalization and warmth of each and every staff member. Was able to briefly meet Sunny, the F&B manager as well during the Tuesday beach dinner. Weather was absolutely perfect, not a drop of rain. The day before we arrived, the island apparently had a few bad days of torrential rain, so we got incredibly lucky.

FWIW, another poster above asked about flying in on EK652, landing ~3pm. I was sitting in the front cabin of Y and made it thru customs/bags within 10 minutes and easily made the last seaplane out. But YMMV obviously, especially if you are flying in J/F vs back of Y.

Overall, huge thanks to all who have contributed information here that I could stalk for years leading up to this stay. Absolutely floored at how amazing and perfect everything was, and will forever be ruined when other properties fail to live up to the StR Maldives. Already thinking about how and when I can come back, but the world is also a big place with so many other places to see. But definitely will have to return.
