In addition to what the other guys have said, it's almost impossible to 'guarantee' the new F, too. I deliberately picked a 777-300 with the new F to JFK (at a time I didn't want to travel) and found it had a plane swap the night before and ended up with the 777-200 and 'old' F. Fantastic crew, but older seat. Annoying. I've still not travelled in the 'new' F.
