Holy crap! I know that complaining about every little thing is the way of the Marriott forum, but have I entered some alternate reality here? Adelphos summed it up well a few posts above--there's plenty to like in today's announcement, very little not to like--everyone comes out ahead of where they were before and some (e.g. ambassador members) come out WAY ahead. I just don't get the endless pessimism of some here.
As a Hiton Globalist and Marriott Gold, I can tell you I was a lot better off before these changes with the Hyatt program over the Marriott partnership. At least with the Hyatt partnership I received free parking and no resort fees and discounts off tickets. The no resort fees are a lot more valuable than Marriott poitns
