First of all the "few fares that Aegean won't give any miles", regarding Air China flights, are basically free tickets (like award Tickets X, I and O).
I found a connection like the one you described and it's also around 700€...

These booking classes credit 75% and 50% of the distance flown in miles, so just over 7000 miles+bonus miles.
