With that being said trying to plan a wedding anniversary for my wife and I (couple in our mid 50s). Here is what is important to us, hoping for some advice from those who have visited:
1) Luxurious but not a pretentious stuffy resort
2) More geared towards adults or at least ability to avoid hordes of small children
3) Must have great air-conditioning in all areas of villa!
4) Less mosquitoes and less windy
5) Good variety of activities and restaurants (we prefer more casual restaurants with great food and service)
6) access to great snorkeling a plus
As an aside we stayed at the Brando last year and loved it.
Thanks in advance FTErs!
Milaidhoo or The Nautilus. We haven't been for a couple years, so assuming the service standards haven't slipped, it meets all your requirements. The Nautilus is probably a more Brando like experience. The snorkeling is amongst the best in the world. There are no kids. And no bugs. It is not even remotely pretentious (either one). Or you could combine with the nearby 4S if you were concerned about activities and wanting to be active (you might want some variety after 4 or 5 days at Milaidhoo or The Nautilus).
