I was there in November for 6 nights, having stayed once before 10 years ago.

The temporary exec lounge service varies depending on staff assigned as they rotate assignments. My first 3 nights I was served by Luqman who was excellent, always checking if I wanted more to drink, he took the initiative to ensure there were alternate food offerings for me after finding I was allergic to seafood on the first night, also ensuring the people assigned after he was rotated out knew for the remainder of my stay. Food was very good, changing each evening and I was offered additional food after finishing my first plate. One evening was a pasta dish with a plant based meat substitute that was very good, like a chicken schnitzel.

I did not have the AC or fridge issues noted by wantan. The internet was down for about 6 hours one evening.

Location is great, 10 years ago I was on the same floor as the currently closed exec lounge (which has a fantastic view over the river), this time on the 4th floor with a river view. Lots of choices at breakfast.

I would return here should I get back to Kuching again.
