Yes, I believe so - and in case of overseas income, that is tax exempt as well.

in case of tax exemption on the overseas income, the new tax regime could overrule such visa regulation faster than expected....
currently that is not really a benefit as overseas income is anyway not taxable for everybody as long as it is not transfered into Thailand during the same year....
