If you have a dual sim phone, the IMS function could provide you with an active US phone number that keeps your local voice and data service active also.
I’m testing US Mobile now in Asia with IMS and using my T-Mobile free data roaming on line #1 and The US Mobile as line #2. It has been working well for the few days I have had either cellular or WiFi service while roaming. I am using a $10 monthly Warp 5G plan and setup was simple and reliable. Both numbers remain active for voice & texts. My goal was primarily to have voice service in foreign countries without fees, and USM has assured me that I will not be charged for the service.
