When I was living in the US, my weapon of choice was a copy of the Sunday NYTimes and flipping to the Travel section. I'd call the TAs located in the Chinatown area and inquire about prices. Pay by cheque, delivery by Fedex/UPS, have never had a problem, and always the best prices. I've tried those in the Washington DC area and never had as good a deal as those in NYC.
