Just completed one night stay, overall satisfied despite some hiccups.
Booked basic queen room cash rate, asked and upgraded to 1 Bedroom King suite morning on the day of check-in but later downgraded to King room. Hotel said they oversold on suites and was sorry, no other attempts for service recovery. We were checking in late and leaving early so no big deal. Received a larger King room, no personal notes or welcome amenity. Front desk did gave us two glass bottles of Evian water. Beautiful hotel common grounds and room quirky decorated. Breakfast was decent, menu same as people shared above. However, we ordered 2 entrees plus a fruit plate and coffee + juice each, our bill came with extra charges on the juices and fruit plate. Front desk did wiped off the breakfast charges during check out and said the charges should not be there. We went for breakfast at 8am and got pretty busy towards 9am. We would return if needed to be in DTLA.
