I did exactly this (minus the run) three weeks ago. It took a while for the agent to grant access because the system rejected me repeatedly after scanning my AA boarding pass. But she didn’t say anything at all about it, just spent a while cajoling the computer and then welcomed me inside as if it were normal, so it could have been something else throwing it off.
