I disagree with poster #2. This is not a OneWorld ticket. No way.

Day 1-2: DFW-LGW (AA) International Stopover
Day 8: LGW-DUB (BA) Destination
Day 14: DUB-ORD (EI) Transit back Home
Day 14: ORD-DFW (AA) Home

Standard award with 1 international stopover. Next time, you can hang in Chicago for a week

I'm in the process of planning some AAward travel for later this year, and want to make sure I understand the rules for stopovers when using an AAward and flying internationally.

From what I've read on FT, it looks like the rules are that I can have a stopover at the US gateway city and a stopover at the first or last international gateway city. I can also have an open jaw.

Last summer (Aug/Sept 2004), I flew the following on a 90,000 mile biz award. Not sure if it was an AA AAward or an All Partner Award. I want to understand why my itinerary was legal, as it seems to me that I had 2 international stopovers.

Is this considered 2 stopovers (1 in LON, 1 in DUB)? If not, can someone please explain the components of this itinerary? I'll be looking to book a similar-looking (different cities, same concept though) itinerary for later in the year, and don't want to be shot down by the AAgents.

As always, thanks for your help!
