How can Amex say this is miscellaneous when it's blatantly clear that it's a restaurant? It clearly says in the transaction "3x Global Restaurants" which it wouldn't say if this wasn't a restaurant. So Sam's tire and battery did not give me 5X for wholesale clubs (must not be a wholesale club), Sam's snack bar did not trigger the AMEX credit, (must not be food) but Sam's gas station triggered the 8X with Barclay's (Not a Wholesale Club???) All I can say is live and learn....and don't forget to have some fun with it too!
