That was an OW ticket

From the looks of it that would be a OW ticket. OW tickets are more flexible with regards to stopovers, etc. In May-Aug 2001 I did a OW90Y on the following mamouth routing:

JFK-MAD-CMN (IB)
CMN-MAD(IB)-TXL(BA)
PRG-LHR-AMS (BA)
AMS-LHR (BA)
LHR-DUB (BA)
DUB-BOS(AL)-BTV(AA)

OW tickets are great if you have a couple of short flights that don't add many miles or if you need multiple stopovers. Standard international tickets allow only one domestic stopover at your gateway (either incoming or outgoing), one international stopover at your gateway (either incoming or outgoing), and one open jaw. On my OW90Y I had 2 open jaws and 5 stopovers, only one of which was a gateway stopover (DUB).
