If you hone in on the really good deals in the premium fares forum, you'll stumble upon sketchy on a regular basis, as those guys are often the last men standing.

You seem to ignore the fact that many airlines (e.g. EVA comes to mind) are far more annoying to deal with than travel agents. I also find changing from one airline to another is easier with competent OTAs.
