The agent I talked to quoted me a price of over $1000 to move to an
upgradeable ticket class. I think that's a bit ridiculous.
Im gonna try hard to come up with an SWU, though Im not sure that
will work either, since "Region 2" rules apply in my situation (flying to
Asia) and the SWUs I've seen posted online lately all say that they
can only be used on Y or B fares in Region 2, which would rule me out
(again).
Grrrrr#!%#!!%. I would think that UA would encourage people to burn
their miles and not make it so dang hard to use them. Miles are liability
and companies in chapter 11 need to get rid of liabilities.
