Quick question:

We recently had our checked baggage miss our Sydney to Auckland connection and two days later to avoid a further day's delay we went to Auckland airport to collect.

A simple claim for the refund for the taxi fare to BA I thought.

BA are denying the claim and pointing me towards Qantas.

However, as my ticket was issued from BA surely it is they who my contract is with.

Routing was BA15 to Sydney, then connect on the same ticket to Qantas to Auckland, oh and this is after BA holidays said they would pay for the taxi.
