Last June I did a T2 to T2 transfer (EI to EI) and basically walked off the plane walked through passport control (Did not say I was transferring to the US so they actually did a glance at my UK passport) and I was in the T2 Departures area near where the US gates are.

This weekend I did a T1 to T1 transfer and popped over to T2 for a few min and I realised it was ALL connected. so based on what you asked, follow connections, go through passport control and you should pop out at the US gates. Then follow signs towards the 200 gates and you will be in the T1 in about 6 minutes or so via the connector walkway. The walkway ends on the airside side of T1 Security.

Assuming you have lounge access the lounge BA uses is towards the end of the security area just before duty free. I I found the signage to be confusing to find the entrance.

Overall a decent lounge for a few hours. Food is to the right as you enter and bar is to the left.

The T1-T1 Connection route was super easy it is all the way at the other end of the bag hall (from the passport control side) and it closes at 13:00.

2hrs 20 connection time

I can use flight connections (and bypass a security check) despite the Dublin Airport website stating self connecting passenger can't use flight connections?

Also is flight connections T2 to T1 actually faster than exiting T2 to landslide and entering T1 airside through fast track security?
