And that right there is exactly my point. Nobody here does know how the "target" of a targeted marketing campaign is selected. However, many in this forum always seem to mistakenly jump to the conclusion that because they stay with Marriott a lot they believe (deep in their soul apparently) that they should absolutely be targeted. It doesn't work that way. It hasn't worked that way the past, it doesn't work that way now and it probably won't work that way in the future.
There just seem to be many in these forums that don't understand that targeted marketing does not equal "reward for past loyalty."
