land early 80% of the time.
I need to catch a bus afterwards from Terminal 2 - there's one that leaves at 3.30, and another at 4.20.
I know the 3.30pm one will be a rush and won't be guaranteed, but is there even a slight chance I could catch it? I'll be on J so I would deplane and get my bags ahead of most people on the plane, but I don't know how immigration is like at Narita in the afternoons.
My thought process is - if it lands 20-30 minutes early, then it would take ~20 minutes to taxi to gate and deplane, 30 minutes for immigration and 15-20 minutes for bus transfer to T2, which would allow me to
possibly make the 3.30 bus.
If there's a fair chance I could make the 3.30, then I'll hold off on making bus reservations and monitor the available seats to see if I can just rock up and pay on the spot when I land; if this is completely crazy and 100% impossible then I'll reserve a spot on the 4.20pm bus.
If you are talking about the Friendly Limousine buses they leave / stop at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.. The departing buses stop at T2 first, and then go to T1, and then they depart the airport. Regardless, if immigration is light (that's a big if lately) you should have zero issues making it - where are you trying to go?
Also just as an FYI the bus desk doesn't often have lines at that time of the day -- we never buy bus tickets in advance....
