Question Much cheaper to pay with Avios+ cash vs cash only.
Hello,

I'm looking at a flight from LHR (London Heathrow) to BLQ (Bologna, Italy) for 2 adults on 16 May at 20:40 - one way.

What's confusing me is the pricing.

Paying in purely cash it is 203 GBP per person.

However paying in a mix of Avios and cash is (45 GBP + 2900 Avios) per person. If you value Avios at the standard 1p per point then that's 45 GBP + 29GBP = 74 GBP per person.

This is a significant saving on the cash price. Is this commonly the case when booking with a mix of Avios and Cash? I had some screenshots but I need to make 5 posts first.
