What happened at BER was that the deicing department is two guys and a truck. Well, little bit jokin but essentially pre-departure deicing was done with one truck, moving around the plane etc. And before that, we needed to wait some 20min at the gate for some heater department guys to come fan around the plane

Overall, I would see it plausible that delay due to critical safety measure is beyond airlines control, after all it is done by the airport. But this resulting to >24h delay is then on airlines control I.e. they could have waited, they could have had more flights westward etc. But by selling a transfer with no margin, they need to be liable for he delay even if some part was caused by matters outside their control.
The 600e delay fee would easily cover indirect costs but I think AY is also liable for direct costs, I.e. 100 euro change fee for Avis not to loose prebooked car.

On a positive side, I miscalculated the BER-HEL points, they are indeed 5k (vs. Econ classic 2.5k) so MR will yield additional 5k TP
