Chase UR points can be transferred to United, but not to American, Aeroméxico or Vivaaerobus. You could still redeem for flights operated by American or Aeroméxico by transferring to programs in the same alliance (American = OneWorld; Aeromexico = SkyTeam). The key is to verify that award space is available on your specific dates and routes before making the transfer. Award space is capacity controlled, seeing paid seats for sale does not insure award availability. Likewise, seeing award availability in the airline's own program does not guarantee availability when redeeming through an alliance partner.
