I wonder if you'll have to wait until 2/1 . . . you're still 1K until then. So maybe a semi-bug/semi-intentional - you're a 1K but can't request a 1K luggage tag for 2024 because you won't be a 1K for most of 2024.

Or they just realize what downgraded flyer is going to swap out their 1K tags for plat . . .
