if I tell Chase it was preexisting , then there would be no coverage. Then I’m hoping I could successfully fight the charge.
I’m wondering whether anyone has been in that situation. Seems like Chase should either deny the charge or reimburse me under the insurance. But since they already charged my card $3k AUS, I’m nervous.
I'm also a little premature as I haven’t spoken to them since I sent in the pictures ( they didn’t got any, just told me I’m being charged).
Anyone in this situation before?
I had this happen with Hertz in Cyprus. Eventually, they dropped the damage claim, agreeing it was pre-existing and their mistake. Perhaps Sixt will realize and do the same thing.
