Interesting side effect of this decision by Hilton. If you're below the threshold for retaining your current tier:

1. The (well-known route) - mattress runs to make the number
2. The (now we know from this thread) - forget about any more bookings after the number needed for the LOWER tier

I'm not sure if that (no. 2) is the perverse incentive that Hilton intend!
