PSA for anyone wishing to use a coin laundry near the hotel while traveling; the nearest one is about a five minute walk from the hotel.
Basically, walk out of the hotel via the mall entrance (by Wolfgang’s) and then pass through the mall to the street. Cross the street and turn left, walking past the MOS Burger to the Rotary Daiwa building, go up the stairs, and the laundry is to the right when you enter. Alternatively, walk out of the main entrance to the hotel and turn right, walking up the street to the main intersection and bear right. When you are at the crosswalk you will see the Rotary Daiwa building across the street, a little to the right.
Either bring 100 yen coins or use the change machine (takes 5,000 and 1,000 yen notes) inside.
The machines claim to dispense soap without needing to add any. There aren’t any vending machines for any other laundry items nor are there any free power ports for personal use.
Location of the coin laundry in relation to the hotel
Six top loader washers, one triple-load front-load washer, two XL dryers and four regular dryers.

For those that don't read Japanese, the instructions for the washers note that no soap is needed. The steps to use the washer are:
- Insert Coins (4 X JPY100) for this washer
- Push the Rinse/Clean button; it's the blue one with the showerhead icon
- Let the self-cleaning cycle run for a few seconds
- When the cycle ends, insert dirty laundry and close the lid
- Wash cycle is 30 minutes.
