I picked up a car with preexisting damage from Sixt Australia. They said just take photos , I have them, time stamped. Niw I get an email saying they are charging me for the damage. I sent in the photos, haven’t heard back.

Initiated and paid with Chase Saphire Preferred.

if I tell Chase it was preexisting , then there would be no coverage. Then I’m hoping I could successfully fight the charge.

I’m wondering whether anyone has been in that situation. Seems like Chase should either deny the charge or reimburse me under the insurance. But since they already charged my card $3k AUS, I’m nervous.

I'm also a little premature as I haven’t spoken to them since I sent in the pictures ( they didn’t got any, just told me I’m being charged).

Anyone in this situation before?
