Looking on SeatSpy, then if you were to try and upgrade a ICN-AUH flight on the 15th March, then it should be around 40k Miles as there is a GuestSeat Available (currently)
The cause of all this is they have significantly reduced the number of GuestSeats available, and do not release empty seats as GuestSeats at any point. So once they are booked, they're gone. (Unless cancelled)
I have been moaning about this in another thread. Late last November i went through the hassle to explain this to the EY staff in the lounge as an AUH to FRA upgrade to C was supposedly 140k or so points. I ended up keeping half the team including the supervisor plus various folks on the phone busy, to no avail. What's actually somewhat tragic, is that noone from EY frontline seem to be capable to explain the misconnect between what the upg chart states and what is available online, nor that anyone seems to truly care.
