There was no lounge during Covid as (a) the hotel exclusively housed quarantiners and inmates couldn't leave their rooms; and (b) the current Executive Lounge was not built (or rather converted from the 24th floor Presidential Suite) and wasn't inaugurated until mid-2022 quite some time after the hotel re-opened to normal guests after all that Great Plague nonsense had passed. I stayed frequently throughout this period so I'm an expert on this.

Where you're happily correct is that Tempo has always been used as the alternative space for Creative Hour and it makes little difference to the elite guest experience apart from the view.
