BA is very careful when selecting crew hotels, with safety being one of the top priorities. Where required, safety will be placed above costs. There will be some stations where safety concerns won’t be an issue to the extent that they are in other places and then costs may be considered but won’t be the deciding factor. In addition, I’m sure both flight and cabin crew unions would be actively raising concerns where it is warranted.
