Probably because, unlike most posters in this thread, the OP didn't overthink this thing by agonizingly obsessing over ever tiny possible ramification and they just moved on with life...

And for those posters who think I'm silly to worry about this practice expanding, as of yesterday I've already seen this type of discussion pop up on Reddit as a potential strategy for accessing some lounges in the US. Never, ever under estimate what human beings are willing to do in this new era of lusting to access airline lounges; there literally seems to be no bounds...
