"Rally Racing"

Back in the 70's, we participated in the SCCA National TSD Rallye Championship. I recall renting a small foreign car in Dallas in July since I had to be back at work after running two Texas events. The car was extremely underpowered, so underpowered that it only could maintain speed with the AC off. The next weekend we ended up with a Datsun 280Z, so were able to compete in air-conditioned comfort. Yes, we signed the papers stating that we would not race the car, but then again, TSD is not a race (unless one gets lost).
