We were in Basel last week, most efficient arrival I've experienced in any airport for a long time. You're probably aware, but you can get the shuttle bus to Gare Saint-Louis and the train from there rather than having to go to Basel SBB.
Apparently a train line serving the airport itself is in the work, but at least four years away from completion.
